DRACULA'S DAUGHTER / Universal Studios - 1936

It's Vampire Monday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. We gots a weird one starring Otto Kruger playing Jeffrey Garth and Gloria Holden as the mysterious Contessa Marya Zeleska from Transylvamia.

Eegah!! sent over a fun lil' soundclip from this flick, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there next to the battery powered vampire cross, NOW, Ralphie The Tarantula! Here's our audio offering for... DRACULA'S DAUGHTER!

Bloodless corpses are starting to appear in London once again after a brief hiatus!.. Well, better call on old Professor Von Helsing for some help.

The Contessa goes to the police station to explain the reason she's in London. The police sergeant is mesmerized by her presence.

Odd looking Irving Pichel plays her faithful companion and helper, Sandor.

The Contessa has come to London to seek the aid of psychiatrist Jeffrey Garth, she wishes to free herself from a mysterious evil influence she suffers from. At their first meeting, she manages to make Jeffrey's girlfriend, Janet, a bit jealous!

Sandor goes out and finds a suicidal woman on the wharf to take back to the Contessa for...

You figure it out!

Anyway, you get the picture, the woman ends up dazed in the hospital after their meeting.

Jeffrey's brought in to hypnotize the woman to find out what has happened to her, she tells about what the evil Contessa and Sandor are up to, they have kidnapped Janet and taken her to Transylvania!

Jeffrey takes the first train out of Clarksville and arrives at the village where the Contessa lives, you can see her castle at top right.

Jeffrey finally gets into the castle (after being shot at by Sandor with a crossbow!) and finds Janet in a trance, under the total control of the Contessa.

Sandor flinches and the Contessa gets an arrow in the gut... Game over, man!

We'll end with this nice title lobby card.

COUNT YORGA, VAMPIRE / Erica Productions Inc. - 1970

It's a Special Saturday Mix-Up with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. We gots a blood drenched movie starring Robert Quarry as the evil bloodsucker, Count Yorga. This story was originally conceived as a low-budget soft-core porno flick with the title, THE LOVES OF COUNT IORGA, VAMPIRE, but, at some stage the producers decided to make it into a straight horror feature. Apparently, no footage of the sex scenes survived.

Eegah!! sent over a suspenseful lil' soundclip with some creepy laffs at the end, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there next to that long pointed stick, NOW, Rufus The Gnat! Here's our audio offering for... COUNT YORGA, VAMPIRE!

The Count arrives in LA on a speeding flatbed!!

There, he entertains a young group of hipsters interested in the mystic arts with a seance.

And, that's when one of the ladies becomes real sick with a mysterious illness and gets a weird blood transfusion to try and fix the problem!

The Count likes to play the piano or just sit and contemplate things in his fancy mansion. Dude's got the bucks!

Of course, the Count's got an uncanny sexual power over women!

The Count also has his unkept manical helper creeping around to take care of any physical problems that may arise.

A pointed stick and a cross seems to be the best defense against the vampire.

But, it's kinda hard to defend yourself against a pack of charging female vampires! My favorite dream, I think I was like 15, was when I got trapped in an old, very dark, 2 story house (my cousin's place in the country but different) and was persued by about ten teenage vampire girls in their long nightgowns! I remember hiding behind the couch, watching them look for me, it was wild 'n' weird!

One guy accomplishes a Hell of a lot with just that stupid pointed stick of his!

Unfortunately, the girl he just spent the last furious thirteen minutes trying to save from the Count turns on him!!

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER - "Forever....Forever....Forever" (1971)

First things first, big kudos to John and Shawn over at the Halloween Countdown site for once again hosting this year's countdown, it's always fun! Thanx again guys! So, Halloween might be over, but the terror down in The Dungeon continues! Tabonga just let me know his computer crashed, so we switched nights again! With any luck, he'll be back on Saturday! So, that means it's time to pull something out of my proverbial caveman crack for your perusal!!

Tonight's feature is a movie I've had sitting here on the top shelf for quite some time now! I've had quite the problem pulling the trigger on this one, but as fate would have it, here we go! All right one of you buggs get over there and push that big red go button over there by the nuclear ashtray, and let's get just a small taste of what this movie's all about! "Diamonds Are Forever"

I made some great tacos tonight! Boil up some shrimp in some beer, cayenne pepper and some celery salt, and after they cool off, mix them up with some diced tomato, a diced jalapeño pepper, a small diced carrot, some cilantro, a diced shallot, a couple of cubed avocados with some lime juice, olive oil, and salt and pepper to taste ! Chill it for a while, and stuff some corn tortillas with a little lettuce, and you're rockin'! Trust me on this one!

For my money, "Diamonds Are Forever" is the closest James Bond movie to look like it was an adaptation of a comic book! Dare I say it about a James Bond movie? It's just silly! Look, there's a bubble in the mud encrusted gun!

Here's a great shot of Sean Connery as James Bond! For me, James Bond movies stopped after Sean Connery stepped down!

Here's what has supposedly happened to one of James Bond's arch enemies, Blofeld!

Nice shot of co-star Jill St. John as as the brilliantly named Tiffany Case!

If I was going to run a caption contest, this would be one of the photos I'd use! I don't know what it is, but this shot cracks me up!

With the look of a Cheshire cat on his face, James is picked up by this bunch of bozos!

These two are Blofeld's main henchmen! Comic book, no doubt!

I just wish smoking in bed was cool again! I just wish smoking was cool again, but alas, it's truly a dirty nasty habit, and I can guarantee you that even a beautiful woman like Jill St. John can still have some funky ass breath!

Okay, this is a fashion statement I can find no reasonable rationale for, or even unreasonable really!

Truly great shot, but definitely looks like it came out of a comic book!

Whoa!!!! My how the Las Vegas skyline has changed! This really looks like science fiction!

Oh, Wow! Great shot of a Mach I Mustang!

So high tech, it's almost unbelievable! Three phones? Are you kidding?

Now this is one seriously classic shot of Sean Connery as James Bond!

Bond's run-in with these two trained martial arts gals is one of the more interesting aspects of the film!

"Big Bad John" Jimmy Dean might make some decent sausage, but as a viable character in a James Bond  movie? Comic book!!!

I like this shot a lot!

I like Jill St. John's outfit in the end of the movie a lot too!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBLOODY!!
